On November 17th, Danny and I made it official. We became husband and wife.
The ceremony was scheduled for 1 o'clock at Holy Angels Church on Porter Avenue.
My mother and I arrived at about 11:20 so that I could have some time to dress and relax. She was crazy about taking pictures. I almost threw her out of the room. I was pacing because I didn't want to ruin my dress by sitting down and because I was a little nervous.
Finally, at about 1:15, it was time. Everyone who was planning on attending was sitting in their seats.
My dad walked me down the aisle and I saw Dan and I began to tear a little bit. The mass went on. Genesis (A man shall leave his mother and father). St. Paul to the Corinthians (Love is Patient, Love is Kind.). John. (the Wedding at Cana.)
Then it was time for vows. Dan was laughing (he was anticipating Brickel's BEEWWW!) I was sobbing a little bit, and I made Dan tear up.
Mass ended, it was time for pictures. Pictures were taken - and it was time to PARTY.
Dan referred to our reception as the After-Party. It was at my mom's house. We had lasagna, salad, garlic bread and wedding cake. (With a special gift from Jen - a hockey player Wedding Cake Topper.)
Kevin broke a wine glass, there some frosting on the faces of the bride and groom and we played some Trivial Pursuit (our team won).
It was a very nice and beautiful day.
I am now glad to be Mrs. Daniel Laughlin.
(And no baby came!)
